Journey to Baa the label
While making jewellery for haldi,mehndi,sangeet at The Peacock Studio and catering to thousands of bride and their family for their The Day , she observed that most women including young girls have switched their attire to lehngas and suits, she rarely saw a traditional Bhandhani or Patan Patola from Gujarat , A Banarasi saree from Varanasi , Tant and Baluchari from Bengal , Beautiful Chanderi from our Heart of India Madhya Pradesh ,Kanjeevaram Saree often referred to as the ‘Queen of Indian sarees’ was about to lose it title. Question was WHY , and answer was difficulty in draping , not easy to handle , pleats handling issues.
She want all future generation to preserve saree culture , Wear saree not on special occasion only but while at work , going out with friends , make it a common wear. So Baa which is referred to Mother and Grandmother in Gujarati aims at bring sari culture back, we have ready to wear saree from all parts of India for young girls , to teengaers to womens.
